Cultural and Community Center

The ACCC provides English as a Second Language (ESL) classes and life skills courses to new immigrant women from the Arab world. We offer introductory and intermediate level classes four times a week in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. Each year we conduct needs assessment surveys to cater our life skills courses around the needs of each new class. Over the years we have been able to offer courses on nutrition, parenting, stress management and navigating public transportation as well as basic computer, Microsoft and internet courses.

The ACCC is able to facilitate these programs due to generous donations from the community, city funding and the partnerships we have built over the years with other empowerment based institutions such as the Tenderloin Boys and Girls Club, Mercy Housing, 201 Turk Street Apartments, Rainbow Grocery, First 5 SF and others.
